Championing Leadership at the Women in Finance Network Lunch
At Capital Bridging Finance, we are committed to fostering leadership, resilience, and inclusive conversations across the financial services industry. These values were brought to life on Friday as we proudly participated in the Women in Finance Network Lunch, hosted by Momentum Media at the stunning Doltone House in Sydney.
The event brought together a remarkable group of women – and allies – working across various sectors of finance, all united by a common purpose: to support and strengthen female leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Representing Capital Bridging Finance at the event was Kaylie Carbis, our Marketing Manager, who joined peers and industry leaders for an afternoon of connection, inspiration, and shared purpose.
One of the standout moments of the day came from keynote speaker Dr Jana Pittman, an extraordinary woman whose journey spans sport, medicine, and motherhood. As a two-time Olympian, World Champion, and now doctor, Jana shared candid insights about overcoming fear and self-doubt – challenges familiar to many women navigating leadership roles.
She reminded the room that fear is often nothing more than “False Evidence Appearing Real.” This powerful message resonated with attendees and served as a call to action: to reframe the way we view obstacles, and to meet uncertainty with courage, confidence, and clarity.
Beyond the keynote, the event was a celebration of the achievements and contributions of women across all areas of finance – from banking and lending to marketing and executive leadership. It also underscored the importance of continuing to build networks and spaces where women can share stories, learn from each other, and collectively drive change.
Kaylie reflected on the day, saying, “It was an honour to represent Capital Bridging Finance among such an accomplished group of professionals. Events like these are vital for building the confidence and community that women in our industry deserve.”
We are incredibly grateful to Momentum Media for organising such a dynamic and meaningful forum. Their commitment to advancing the conversation around diversity and leadership continues to create real impact.
On behalf of Damien Simonfi (CEO) and the Capital Bridging Finance team, we are proud to be part of that conversation – and to play our role in shaping a future where leadership knows no limits.
